Birmingham City Business School required a group travel package to facilitate a visit to the Emerald Forest business competition at Karlshochschule International University in Karlsruhe, Germany and explore business-based activities in Karlsruhe, Heidelberg and Strasbourg.

Custom-made 6-day itinerary to Karlsruhe

Day 1 - Arrive in Karlsruhe

After boarding a daytime flight to Frankfurt, the group was met by our coach provider for transportation to their accommodation.

Staying at student-friendly accommodation, the group was based in the heart of the city and within walking distance of the Karlsruhe main station.

Free time was scheduled in the evening for students to explore the nearby area and taste the local cuisine. 

 

Day 2 - Group-planned activity

Continental breakfast served at the hotel, group then travelled by pre-paid train to Heidelberg Main Station where they arranged their own activity, however StudyLink can pre-book visits and dinner reservations if required.

Group travelled back to Karlsruhe Central Station in the late afternoon and free time was scheduled for the students to reflect on the day’s activity.

Day 3 - Council of Europe

Continental breakfast served at the hotel, group then travelled by coach to Strasbourg for the Council of Europe, coach on-hand all day for the group to use at their discretion.

The Council of Europe is an international organisation whose stated aim is to uphold human rights, democracy and the rule of law in Europe. Students visit the headquarters and participate in tailor-made study programmes or guided tours to develop their understanding of European Human Rights Law and its significance in business.

Day 4 & 5 - Group-planned activity

Continental breakfast served at the hotel, group chose to arrange their own activities for the day including meals and transport, however StudyLink can pre-book visits, dinner reservations and transport tickets.

Day 6 - Return to Birmingham International Airport

Continental breakfast served at the hotel, the group were met by our coach provider at their accommodation and travelled to Frankfurt Main International Airport, arriving at Birmingham International Airport.
